Tanner & Tilley recently won a householder planning appeal at 20 Ash Grove, Ashurst in the New Forest National Park Authority area. The proposals were for a rear extension, internal re-configuration of space, roof alterations including a new dormer window, and demolition and replacement of the garage.

The approval allows substantial alterations and improvements to the currently modest chalet bungalow to allow the owners to create a fantastic spacious and modern family home.

The application was originally refused by the NFNPA due to the proposals impact on the character and appearance of the area, as well as concerns in relation to the living conditions at a neighbouring property. Tanner & Tilley put together robust arguments to counter these objections and the Inspector agreed with our views and allowed the appeal.

The appellants, Mr & Mrs Payne said: ‘Our successful appeal is brilliant news and we want to thank Helen for all her hard work she put in. We can’t wait to get started on renovating the house.’
