Joint Seminar Announced on Redeveloping Hotel Sites

Local property specialists, Tanner & Tilley Town Planning Consultants, Bournecoast Property Agents and Matthew & Matthew Solicitors are delighted to extend an invitation to all local property professionals and hoteliers with potential development sites. They are hosting a joint seminar on Thursday 1st December at the Green House Hotel to discuss the merits and pitfalls of selling off hotels for development into residential flats and the restrictions to be considered. The seminar will look at how this affects developers and the impact on the tourism industry and local communities. The three speakers will be: Des Simmons from Bournecoast Property Agents, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Bournemouth Area Hospitality Association (BAHA). Des will focus on points to consider, Section 106 restrictions and what is likely to be allowed, and holiday flat lets. John Montgomery Director at Tanner & Tilley Town Planning Consultants who will discuss the application of Council Policy, Strategies to address these policies with a view to maximising the development potential and viability discussions after planning has been agreed (if necessary). John Montgomery will also touch on what other options there are for hotel owners and developers. Finally, Louise Vermeulen, from Matthew & Matthew, who will talk about the legalities around Section 106 negotiation and close the seminar. All will be happy to take questions, so the event is a must for all local developers, architects and property professionals, but also an exclusive opportunity for hoteliers who may be considering selling or developing their sites.
